When you register a domain, your personal name, address, email and phone number are stored in a public database called WHOIS. WHOIS privacy replaces your details with HostGuru's contact information, keeping your personal data hidden from the public. HostGuru includes this free on all gTLD domains (.com, .net, .org etc.).

WHMCS sends renewal reminder emails at 60, 30, 14 and 7 days before expiry. If the domain expires, it enters a redemption grace period (usually 30 days) during which you can still renew it, sometimes with an additional fee. After the grace period, the domain may be released for public registration. Enable Auto-Renew to avoid this risk.
